G2 Silver is a proud Charlestonian company. We love to support, honor, remember and emulate our history and our surroundings in each of our pieces. In this blog, we will be sharing some of our favorite community partnerships and pieces that go to help benefit the members of our community!
Happy October, Charleston! Can you believe Halloween is almost here? We wish the cooler fall temperatures would hurry up and get here just as quickly as October did. But until then, we have so many things we want to celebrate and talk about in this week’s blog! As we’ve mentioned before, we are a very proud local company. We love to celebrate its history, its artistry, and what makes Charleston, Charleston. One of those incredible things is its citizens. Without our local support and the support of thousands of visitors to the holy city, we wouldn’t be where we are today. We always look for opportunities to give back and support our community as much as we can. It being October, we saw a perfect opportunity. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are offering 15% off to our customers when they use the code fcancerg2 at checkout. On top of that, a portion of our proceeds will be going to the Susan G. Komen Fund, the South Carolina Affiliates. These donations will help community education, local and national resources, breast cancer health, and breast cancer education. This offer will be ongoing throughout October. One of our own fought against Breast Cancer and won. But sadly not everyone is as lucky. Please consider donating and buying one of our beautiful pieces to help the fight against this horrible disease. Visit our website by following the link below to learn more!
Did you know this year the Charleston Aquarium is celebrating its 20th birthday? We can’t believe the aquarium has been open for that long! To help the celebration we were commissioned to make pins for some of their most prized volunteers, those who have been with the aquarium for 15 and 20 years. We couldn’t be more proud to help celebrate these incredible volunteers who make everyone’s visit to the aquarium such a special experience. We are also so glad to be associated with the aquarium! It first opened its doors on May 19, 2000, on the historic Charleston Harbor. Their mission was and still is today, to inspire conservation of the natural world by caring for animals, education, and research, and to proudly offer exceptional visitor experiences. The Charleston Aquarium is a nonprofit organization, and they rely on the support of their guests, members, foundations and generous donors. Take the time to donate today, or visit their beautiful aquarium. You won’t be disappointed by all the amazing things you’ll see and learn!
One of the most beautiful gems in our collection is the beautiful charms we’ve made to commemorate the breathtaking beauty of Magnolia Plantations. Take an afternoon to visit this beautiful place and take one or two of our beautiful charms home with you to remember your visit! There is a butterfly, hummingbird, and a dragonfly to choose from! The plantation itself is on the National Register of historic places and is one of the oldest plantations in the south. It has also been voted one of American’s most beautiful gardens. Founded in 1676 by the Drayton family, it has survived centuries of hurricanes, wars, and human disasters. It is the oldest public tourist site in the Lowcountry and the oldest public gardens in America. The plantation opened it’s doors to visitors in 1870. For more information, visit their website below!
We are so proud to be apart of Charleston’s rich history and to have the opportunity to share it and preserve it. We love to tell your stories and to keep others inspired.
